DonorSnap releases free data collection tool for nonprofit organizations

DonorSnap has released a free tool that allows nonprofits to collect information using a custom online form. This free tool is ideal for creating an online registration, gathering requests for information, creating mailing lists, and much more.

DonorSnap knows that it can be a hassle to program custom forms and databases. In light of this issue they have created a tool that will do it for free. Anyone can set up an account and start collecting information within a few minutes. You do not have to be a user of DonorSnap’s donor and membership management software to take advantage of this free opportunity. There is no software to download or install because it is all hosted on the DonorSnap servers. This data collection tool can be used to collect almost any type of information desired from visitors. Online registrations, collecting contact information, and gathering requests for information are only the beginning of the valuable possibilities for a nonprofit organization. After creating an account, each user designs a custom form specific to their needs using an easy drag and drop interface. Detailed instructional videos are also available to assist users.

Once the form is created, the user specifies how often the results are emailed to them and the format they would like to receive the information in. Selections can be daily, weekly, or monthly for delivery timing and.xls (Excel spreadsheet), .csv (comma separated value), or .pdf for the data format. A url address for the form will be issued upon completion of the form design. Users will place this link on their website or in their email campaigns which in turn will open the collection form in a new window. Once the form is submitted, the window is closed. Throughout the process, the visitor never leaves the organization’s website so the visitor traffic flow is never interrupted.

Privacy is very important to DonorSnap. All data collected is secure and will not be shared with anyone or used by DonorSnap for any reason. Organizations are welcome to make multiple forms, but are limited to one form per username. Simply create an additional account to build an additional form. Outdated forms can be updated or reset to allow the creation of a new form. For more information or to create an account please visit the DonorSnap free data collection tool page.
