Email Subject Lines - Analysis by MailChimp?

How would you rate your emails? Are those open rates lower than you had hoped? Your subject line is a crucial factor in whether or not your email is opened. There are a few things that you can actively do to increase your open rate: test for yourself and review the testing of others.

Below you'll find a link to one of MailChimp's latest blog posts covering the results of their study. This is a great starting point, but don't stop there. Test these techniques in your own newsletters to see whether they hold true for your community.

Internet Explorer 11 Issues

If you have recently updated Internet Explorer to version 11 or Windows to 8.1 (which includes IE11), you may have noticed that certain parts of DonorSnap (or other websites) do not function as they do in all other browsers. For best performance, we recommend using Chrome as your browser.

If you prefer to continue using IE11, you will need to enable compatibility view for donorsnap.com. To do this, follow the steps below:

  • Click the gear icon in the upper right corner or the Tools menu
  • Click Compatibility View Settings
  • Type donorsnap.com in the text box
  • Click Add and close the screen
  • Refresh your browser and continue using DonorSnap

For more help, visit Microsoft's help page for turning on compatibility view in IE11.
