New Feature: Email Acknowledgement Letters

We are very excited about the new Email Acknowledgement Letters! We've finished developing, testing, and making the new feature as simple as possible. If you thought you were excited when you learned about the Mass Entry tool, you had better hang on to your hat!

Email Acknowledgement Letters are exactly as they sound. Instead of printing and mailing a thank you letter/receipt for a donation, you can now generate a pdf letter and attach it to a personalized email. That means no stamps, no printing, no labels, and no envelopes.

If you aren't ready to move completely to email acknowledgements, don't worry. The new system is designed so that you can email a portion of a batch and print the rest all from a single interface.

Best yet, this entire system is built within DonorSnap and included with your subscription. No third party email marketing system is required. Enough talk... check out the overview video!

As with all new features, users must be granted access to it under Maintenance > User Setup.

Update Your Year End Date

If your organization uses the calendar year for your year end date, don't forget to update that in your site settings. The year end date is used to calculate DonationAmountYTD (year to date) and DonationAmountPriorYear.

Internet Explorer 11 Issues

If you have recently updated Internet Explorer to version 11 or Windows to 8.1 (which includes IE11), you may have noticed that certain parts of DonorSnap (and many other websites) do not function as they do in all other browsers. Because of these issues, DonorSnap does not currently support IE11.

For best performance in DonorSnap, we highly recommend using Chrome as your browser.

Free DonorSnap Training

DonorSnap is now offering a free training almost every week. The free trainings take place on Wednesdays at 1pm Central Time and the topics range from Getting Started with DonorSnap to advanced features like DataMiner Platinum and Online Forms. The next 4 trainings can be viewed at any time.
