Staff turnover doesn't have to cripple development

Change is a part of every organization, but new staff do not have to struggle to learn to use DonorSnap. The best way to take advantage of our help is to attend the free regular live training webinars. Past training recordings are also available for free to smooth out those transitions.

Start with "Getting Started with DonorSnap" learn the basics. This training shows how to use the main interface and navigate the major parts of the system. Find specific contacts, add new notes, interactions, donations, etc. It will also covers basic donation reports.

After the basics, a great place to go next is "Acknowledgement Letters with Word." This will cover how to create mail merge documents in Microsoft Word and then upload them to DonorSnap. These letters can then be generated right from DonorSnap and then flag the actual donation record as having been acknowledged.

After that, consider watching "Standard Reports" to learn how to use the reporting system. This training explains how to customize the canned reports and when to use each of them. The "DataMiner Platinum Beginner Training" starts to get into the more advanced features of DonorSnap like queries. This tool will allow you to create very specific or general lists of your contacts. These lists can be used in generating letters, sending emails, solicitations, year end statements, and more.

Depending on your organization, it might also be beneficial to review some of the best practices for different types of data tracking:

These trainings are a great resource for both brand new and seasoned users of DonorSnap. If you find yourself in a situation where you need specialized private training, we can also accommodate those requests. Send an email to our support team at for more details on how to schedule a private training or to ask any questions about how to use your database.

Internet Explorer 11 Issues

If you have recently updated Internet Explorer to version 11 or Windows to 8.1 (which includes IE11), you may have noticed that certain parts of DonorSnap (and many other websites) do not function as they do in all other browsers. You may also notice a solid blue screen when visiting the help site instead of any help pages or videos. Because of these issues, DonorSnap does not currently support IE11.

For best performance in DonorSnap, we highly recommend using Chrome as your browser.
