Better Scheduled Reports in DMP

DataMiner Platinum is the go to custom report builder in DonorSnap, but in the past it could only work with fixed date ranges. We have now added the option to use variable date ranges including: today, tomorrow, yesterday, this month, last month, next month, etc. Going forward, build dynamic reports that automatically update your date ranges for you.

This is especially helpful for scheduled email reports. Scheduled reports are generated each morning and sent to any email address you specify. For example, set up a "Last Month Donations" report to be run and emailed on the first of each month to your executive director for review.

Cover the Processing Fees in Responsive Forms

cover the processing fees

The Responsive Forms tool now has the ability to add a fixed percentage to your total amount to cover the processing fees. This percentage can be adjusted from 0.25% - 5.0% depending on your selection.

To enable the "Cover the Processing Fee" option for your Responsive Forms, go to the Form Builder tab and add the "(Donation) Processing Fee %" field to your form. We think it's best to place it right under your total amount field, but you can place it anywhere. Click the gear next to it to set your percentage and default checked or not checked.

Take a look at an example donate now form to see it in action or learn more on the help site.

Freebie from DonorSearch will be added to your contact listing screen: DSRating

If you haven't already added the DSRating field to your screen, we will be adding it to the screen for you so that you don't miss out on it! This field is a rating built using public donation and wealth information.

How do you use this info? Here's what a couple of the scores mean:

DS1-1: Donor giving a single gift of $5,000 or more to a nonprofit or political organization found in DonorSearch’s charitable giving database.

DS1-2: Real estate holdings of $2+ million, business executive at a firm with revenues of $5+ million

DS1-3: Real estate holdings of $1-2 million, business executive at a firm with revenues of $1-5 million

For a complete list of the rating score definitions, take a look at the DonorSearch integration help page.

One great way to use this tool is to add the DonationAmountYTD (year to date) and DonationAmountLTD (lifetime donations) to your contact listing grid. Then sort by the DSRating field and see if there are any mismatches. If one of the top rated contacts in your database isn't giving very much to your organization, consider making targeted asks to these people.

DonorSearch integration

In addition to the free DSRating scores, DonorSearch has offered DonorSnap clients extra special pricing for access to the detailed profile information. The pricing is a low monthly rate based on the size of your database that you won't find anywhere else.
